There are 876 square feet of living space including 2 bedrooms (easy conversion of the dining room to a 3rd bedroom) and 1 bath. The property includes a single car garage and sits on a lot that is 64 x 129. The large backyard is partially fenced.

Taxes for 2008 were $1,232.56.

The house is in excellent condition considering the age of the house. It is being sold "as is" but buyers are welcome to arrange for an inspection for their information before closing. The composition roof does not leak but buyer should expect to replace it soon.

All appliances stay; the Washer is new; the hot water heater was new in 2004, the wall furnace was installed in 2008. There is a concrete floor in the garage plus built-in cabinets and storage. The large backyard is partially fenced. Roof does not leak but should probably be replaced within the next year or two.

The price has been reduced to allow the new owner to re-paint the interior and install a new roof.

Great neighbors. Great schools, Great community. Great Buy.

According to Cutler's, History of the State of Kansas, a "fine two-story brick schoolhouse, 36x72 feet, [was] erected in the fall of 1882 at a cost of $6000, [with] 272 scholars [enrolled]." This was the first school building in Louisburg. It was on the corner of 1st Street and Mulberry.

The frame building behind the high school was the Louisburg Primary School, constructed between 1882 and 1900.

It appears that the Primary School building was remodeled and converted to a home circa 1920.

The bottom picture was taken after it was converted to a home.
